Dane Cook was right....

I was in a large coastal city - ancient and modern. I remember draping cloth and tall stone walls the color of sand. There was also...a motorcycle or two I think.

The "God" of the city was a giant monster, and it was trying to find me. The people decided to hide me, and I scurried about the town, up and under archways and into shops. When the "God" appeared, it was a giant crab, and it snapped at me and was sniffing for me all over. I knew that it was dangerous for the people to hide me, but I also couldn't seem to find the exit.

Regardless of the meaning of the crab, Dane Cook was right about one thing - crabs are scary things to dream about. Especially their mouths with those feathery teeth things...blarg.

Three Fox Cubs

I was driving on Hwy 231, which runs through rural Indiana.

On the side of the road I saw a baby fox - I knew that you're not supposed to stop and mess with wild animals, but I wanted to look. I reversed and got out of the car. There were three foxes - the first one behind me, one in front of an older one-story white house, and a third I saw in a bush further ahead of me. They were all playing and being cute - the one by the house came over and sniffed me.

I saw a semi-truck coming down the road, riding on the shoulder. I knew it would hit the foxes - the driver couldn't see them like I could. He was just rolling along steadily with his wheels on the shoulder of the road - I remember thinking how symmetrical he was with the shoulder line. I took my car and parked it perpendicular to the road in front of the first fox, and the truck came to a stop without hitting me or the foxes. The driver seemed upset because he didn't know why I'd parked in the middle of a highway. The foxes continued to be happy - I think the mother fox was there somewhere, but I don't remember if I actually met her or if she was just watching me from a distance.

Later, there was a bit about a Rainforest Cafe summer camp thing. It was golden, hot, and sunny outside. There were all these people in black shirts doing crafts and walking about like waitstaff. Peter Dinklage was there. I don't really remember the rest, except that I vaguely knew some of the people and we called out greetings.

Swordfish, Panther, Vampire

This dream started on the docks - it was night and there were different boats and such around. It was moonlit, or at least there was enough pale light to sort of see things. I forget what we were looking for, but there was a group of us walking around. Some of us had flashlights. I looked into a building, and saw a swordfish swimming around, even tough there was no water. It was catching fish while swimming through the air, and I wondered how the fish managed to get in and out of the dock shed. I watched, and it poked open a window and swam out. Then it swam in front and around the group occasionally, catching fish. I believe they were tuna.

In a middle distance, I saw a pair of glowing yellow eyes and was afraid. The eyes turned out to belong to a shiny black panther, who paced over to me. I was very nervous, and thought the panther would bite my arm. I stared into its eyes for some time, and then the panther let me pet it. Its fur was very smooth, and rippled under my fingers. Then it ran away.

After a slight break, we found ourselves on a castle. The point of view shifted to a girl with blond hair and a large beaded necklace. Each bead was hematite and very small, but there were multiple strands which formed a sort of lavaliere around her neck. There were vampires on the wall - two of them, a man and a woman. The blond woman grabbed ahold of her necklace and shouted "NO!" and her voice reverberated through the air with incredible force, pushing the vampires hundreds of miles away. They landed in the snow, and seemed surprised.

Later, the woman was back on the wall and a vampire found her. The vampire looked like James Fanco, and he was smiling. The woman did not have her necklace - she only had a bracelet on, with two or three single strands of the beads. She tried to shout, and her voice was loud and reverberated, but it was like her echo was hollow. The James Franco vampire smiled because he was not thrown away, and he started stalking around the outside of the stone room (which was roofless and sort of destroyed). She tried again, and a third time, but each time her voice sounded feebler in her ears and did not carry the force she needed, and she started to panic.  There was a strange cutaway then to the blond woman and the female vampire. They were under a large silver thermal blanket which was almost like a tent, and they were sharing a very passionate sort of gaze between them.

I remember the panther the most - and the shouting. I remember the woman's shouting, and feeling the echoing vibrations in the air.

Bruno Mars and a Rainbow (and other Stuff too!)

I will first describe the most vivid part of the dream:

I was in my house, in my room, which looked bigger than normal. I was talking with Bruno Mars about gospel music, and it was pretty relaxed. Then a wave of water hit the window sill. We both looked at it, and then another wave hit, and the water level started rising against the window. I was not exactly worried, but I was confused. I could hear thunder and rain, but the water wasn't dirty or clear - it was a little greenish, like pond water. I thought the yard was flooding, except I knew we were on a hill so that didn't make sense. The house started rocking slightly, like a ship at sea. For some reason, this made me a lot calmer.

I went to look out at the back yard, and it was spring. Everything was green, and the sun was peeking out from behind grey thunderclouds. A light rain fell, and a rainbow stretched across the sky overhead. It was joyful. I looked over the roof, and could see the dark storm clouds on the other side of the house, and I was confused. The water did not seem to be spilling into the back yard. I went back inside and the house kept gently rocking back and forth in the water.

Snippets:

I was walking with D in a bustling city with a European feel - like I felt that there were ruins to see around the city. But I was concerned because I saw that a fire had started on the roof of a green shed, and even though the roof was metal, no one was trying to put the fire out. I picked D up and kept walking down the street.

The two guys from the Twilight movies were trying to get somewhere. One was in a car, the other a motorcycle. But neither of them had any confidence or coordination, and so they kept falling over. They neared a wall covered in black spray paint scribbles, and a group of sleezy, dangerous looking people with eyes that looked white sometimes, and teeth that got sharp. They were trying to summon something - a spirit or monster they worshipped, but I can't remember the creature's name. They were a cult, that's the word. They were a cult, and the two guys from Twilight didn't know what to do.

**

I was in a cavern, and was running out of time. It was like I was in a Mario game - I had to jump over things and run. There were even coins. At one point the camera angle panned out and I could see someone who was sort of me running along, collecting coins in a long tunnel. I made it to the "end" before time ran out.  I think that I wanted to buy something at a gift shop there - some sort of inscribed rock, but I can't remember.

-------

I know that these dreams were a little more connected. I feel like I met Bruno Mars in the city with the burning roof, and that before we were in my room, we were running through the Mario caverns, which were part of the city....

That's the problem with waking up abruptly.
