Basements, Rooftops, Abdomens

Part 1: I was in an episode of "Castle." And we were trying to stop a bomb from going off, but all anyone seemed to use was their cell phones. This was the earliest part of the dream, so I don't remember it that well. I remember it was nighttime, and that everyone seemed to be in pretty good spirits.

Part 2: I was in a restaurant in the basement of what I thought was a sort of giant library, like at a University. The restaurant was not doing well because the cooks were behind and everyone was lazy. I don't think I actually worked at the restaurant, but I went into the kitchen and started organizing everything. Suddenly, dishes started being ready, and all the food went out with lots of waiters. I had a full bowl of scallop soup with vegetables, and had to deliver it to table 3 - I looked at a map of tables, but once I went out onto the floor I wasn't sure where to go. I had to walk past a lot of unsatisfied people who were upset their food wasn't out yet. I found the table - there were two men sitting there, with their backpacks on the floor. The one recognized his food and smiled at me. I almost spilled the soup, but did not. This man did not really resemble anyone I know. He had blue eyes - that's about what I remember.

So I kept walking around this lower level restaurant, and I kept smiling at this guy. And he kept smiling at me. Finally, I was allowed to leave the kitchens, and I was heading out when I bumped into him. He asked me if I was a pre-Med student, and I laughed and said no. I asked him what he was studying...but I can't remember what he said.....

Part 3: The lower level restaurant turned into a sort of video game set. The floor turned a glowing patchwork of purple and white, and these strange video game characters set up checkpoints all over the floor, and I had to go and see them. It reminded me of a trippy version of Fable, as I was visiting merchants and trying to afford to buy things. One of my stops was at an expensive rug dealer, who tried to kiss me then told me I couldn't afford the carpets yet. I was wandering around aimlessly after that, because no one actually told me what to do.

(Note: My brain, upon waking, keeps telling me that the video game "Pokemon White/Black" made an appearance here. I think I could have bought it, but didn't want to pay $50. The vendor in the dream, a purple woman-like creature was disappointed.)

Eventually, I found myself in a big glass elevator, moving over the landscape below me. I think the elevator was going down, but it was going down on a slope? Anyways, S was in the elevator, and he was complaining that he couldn't find anyone to properly inspect his nexus. I asked him was a nexus was, and he said it's the line between the abdomen muscles. He then took off his shirt and asked me to check. I ran a hand over his abs, noting that they were very well defined. He seemed happy with the information, and then gave this speech about how most women couldn't be objective about such things. In my mind, I was noting that it was difficult for me to be objective as well, and not distracted.

Part 4: I rented an apartment from a woman who was a teacher - I feel like she was someone I know in real life, but I'm not sure. Anyways, she said I could rent her apartment from her, as she was moving. At first I was cautiously optimistic, but when I saw her apartment I was ecstatic. The apartment was huge, with a circular shape around a big column. There was a living room, and a big kitchen, and everything looked really nice.

The first thing that seemed odd after my initial happiness was this giant staircase which apparently led nowhere. I didn't see why it was in the apartment. The next odd thing was a pothole in the ground. I couldn't figure out why it was there either. I called the woman about it, who was really chipper, and so I was chipper too. She stopped by to give me a drive around the apartment. It wasn't till we came to an intersection that I realized her apartment was adjacent to a parking lot, and then I was shocked to realize that her apartment was actually in a parking lot. Furthermore, there were no walls! And the ceilings were more like awnings which covered the traditional looking living room, dining room, etc. I could see now that her "apartment" was really on the roof of a parking garage, next to what appeared to be a big stadium (the stairs led up to the announcing booth)! How had I missed all this before?!

"I'm not sure this is going to work," I said....
